BETWEEN THEM
Part 17
It was the usual.... Nothing much had changed....
His mom was the only person at home who was really happy to see him.... Though after the initial joy, she too seemed put off at the prospect of her son working in India, instead of some exotic place in the world....
It was almost the same with Aarthy.... She was now more bothered about how the pay package would be and whether he had any chance of making it fatter and better.... Maybe she was having something else in mind......
Aakash wasn't home when Krish arrived.... Some jogging and fitness regime.... He returned after an hour....
His dad did not take any interest beyond a few words of praise or welcome....
He hurt Krish beyond he could imagine....
A day into being back home... And Krish was left feeling lonely again.....
It was better in Malaysia.... At least there, there was no one to question him about his daily work... And he could walk in and out of that desolate apartment as and when he wished....
He felt more than unwelcome.... And remained in his room most of the time when he was home...
Maybe.... Getting back to Bangalore wasn't a great move....
And somewhere, his mind played nasty games with his heart.... Maybe she wouldn't care too... Maybe he was being silly to imagine she would....
Tomorrow was the day he was to report back at work.... He hoped it would be fine, at least....
What he did not realize was that he was going to work in the same building as Shriya.....
Fate likes playing hide and seek.... Leaving no idea to it's victims as whose turn it is to seek...
