When it is Time...

Krish waited for her call.... Rithi would call anytime now....

And he waited....

It was lonely... Now that his mother had also gone back....
He missed her too..... Even after her strange behavior throughout her stay.....
She hadn't pestered him much with her lectures this time.....
And as he had become so used to them.... somehow their absence seemed weird.....

And there had been that major game development that he had just finished yesterday.... after a whole week of work.... 24 x 7....

He decided he looked tired as he looked at himself in the mirror.... Maybe time for a refreshing bath and a cup of hot tea.. after that he could order out for the night....

He wanted to stay at home as far as possible.... Not worth taking the chance of missing the call....


Lost in deep thoughts.... he realized the ping....
Someone was online.... chat?

It was Rithi..... She was offline already..... But had logged in to leave an off line message....

Why did she not call?

"I tried her..... She wasn't home, I guess..... She is in Bangalore now... Working with a private law firm.... civil law..... I left a message in her answering machine.... She didn't yet call back.... Maybe you should try .... Her number is....."

He closed the chat box.....

Insane.... Why was he this angry? Frustrated? Despair!

He had felt something yesterday night.... And knowing it was late evening in India, he had called Rithi and told her to find Shriya....

Thinking of her hurt him more....


It was evening when the call came.....

And it was his boss' number..... Maybe they were not impressed with the game...
Maybe he had been wrong taking the day off today and was going to be fired....

Big Deal !

It didn't matter much..... He was sure he could get a job anywhere, any day and still make a great career out of it....

He wasn't very modest.... He knew he was worth every nickel they paid him....

He took on the call....


Krish finished the conversation after an hour and sat dazed......

He went out to his balcony and stood there ...... watching the lemon tree.... staring at it....

He was grinning....... And couldn't yet believe it....

Promoted as a Project Head, Animation wasn't a simple feat.....

And the fact that he was to report back in Bangalore, India next week wasn't a daily news....
