BETWEEN THEM
Part 2
She stood at the very edge.... it was scary.... she shuddered and then took a long look at the walls of rock rising above her on the other side....
The stream seemed far below..... the spray of water from the massive falls was smearing her face with a dampness that was both refreshing and frightening....
The fury of the falls seemed an established fact by the deafening roar rising from below...
She wanted to turn and run away.... She wanted to stay and watch.... timelessly....
He smiled..... She was frightened to say the least....
He could see her back away from the edge.... and then move forward....
He gave a slug smile and moved towards her....
At that height, Shriya knew that even if she fell.... nothing at all could be noticed, leave alone recovered.... and that thought exhilarated her beyond her normal senses.....
She was still shuddering, still unaware.....
He caught her around her waist... she gave a little yelp.... and then stopped the struggle...
"You know, when you lean that far... you need something to hold onto.....", he smiled at her anger....
"And maybe with that you are trying to explain why you scared me this way....Krish, you are the limit", she was still shivering.
She was angry and well, she was pleased too.... though she did not show her surprise....
There was no need for Krish to hold her.... because he had anyway been only a few feet away.... even if she had slipped and fallen.....
Krish was smiling his special smile at her .... a corner of his lips curved up and his eyes gazing lazily at her..... Now, she hated it.... He always smiled that way when he was sure he knew her mind.... and that was always....
"I don't want to let go.... But if you insist I will.... "
She was silent.... Then she spoke....
"Don't you like the view.... Awesome right?"
He laughed aloud now.... and she blushed.....
"You never replied ....", he pointed out...still smiling....
She was quiet.... He hugged her closer....
They both stood there... for all the world .... two people who were obviously very much in love.... though there was no one to see them now.....
After what seemed like hours, they sighed and turned away..... to head back to normal life.... routines and rules...... still hugging, still smiling......
And that was when she woke up, and her dream faded as she felt the harsh rays of the sun hit her full force in her eyes...

hmmm i thought of it as a climax. but i see it wasnt. i dont think u are yet ready to let let them be together. well am not saying much now. but will be here to see how the plot develops. till then have a thinking time.

oh yea.... I think that I have fallen in love with their characterz.... am going to try and explore each emotion as between the two of them...
it gonna be fun!
